New Year, Same God

As we enter a new year, we have the freedom not to hold on to the good gifts of last year with clenched fists or desperately seek the next good gift in the one to come. We have the freedom to participate in God’s unchanging purpose for his creation: redemption. We have the opportunity to work for goodness, justice, and beauty, standing on the firm foundation of salvation bought for us by the God who is always faithful to his promises.
